:eusa_clap Love the fabric and the details on the waistcoat. Were those side splits common back then?

Land of the LOST as a movie

Land of the Lost reminds me of a talking monkey... but it's not the same one you're referring to.

Land of the LOST as a movie

I don't really get that phrase. They aren't "messing with" your memories... you still have them. You also have the right to choose whether or not to see the movie. [huh]

The Return of The Three Piece Suit

Vintage inspired or not it's still classic in its lines, and I would take that over a lot of the three piece suits I see on the racks... including the ones at J. Crew. [huh]

    Show off your Porkpies

Note I said real fedora. This wool one I have doesn't compare with the hats I've seen on here. In any case, I don't wear hats much, but it'd be nice to have a few good ones. I wouldn't mind a hook up... if it was a free one. ;)

Land of the LOST as a movie

Dragnet was no Starsky & Hutch. That's all I have to say about that.

    Show off your Porkpies

That ribbon is a little big, no? Still, I have to get a real fedora, a stingy brim, and NOW a porkpie. Thanks, Fedora Lounge? :D

Land of the LOST as a movie

Go pick it up at your local library, you'll see. Sadly, the DVD had little to nothing in the way of special features, like most 1997-1998 released ones.

Never say never. The Dragnet movie was a comedy and it was great...

    'gaudy' eBay Photos?

Yeah, not offensive so much as... distracting. But I've found most things these type of guys model on eBay when I search for "vintage suit" etc. aren't really what I have in mind anyway. [huh]

The Return of The Three Piece Suit

20-something speaking here -- not thinking that. :) The only sort-of-fast-food place I've worn any suit to is Steak 'N' Shake, and that's just because it's a sit down restaurant where they take your order. (Plus, I just HAPPENED to be in a two piece when I decided I could use a steakburger and...

Veronica Lake -The Woman Who Smiled Little

I have to get them. It's more than a matter of aesthetics -- if I don't, my overbite will get worse.

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay Not for those easily offended or devoid of a sense of humour. ;)

Classic firearms of the classic era.

Not specific to any era, really.

Veronica Lake -The Woman Who Smiled Little

Again, I really like the cute, sweet side of her that shows in some of these photos. Sorry, I know I ain't female, but the reason I don't smile much (much less with teeth showing) is because my teeth are somewhat crooked. I'm getting braces this year as well, so...

Yep. Time to close it down, eh? :D

Do We Let Celebrity Determine Style ???

I assumed you were referring to rappers, considering that's what I was talking about.

Wet-Clean Suit - literally wash and wear

Neither did James Bond. ;) Quite interesting. I still don't like my suitings being touched by ANY synthetic fabric, but I'm sure there's a market for this.
