On the Thedi FB page, I see lots of models that I don't see on the regular website- mostly, these look like work coat patterns which I really like (particularly in the similar to battered tan and olive hides). These are also jackets Thedi offers, right? It's not that I'm thinking of ordering...
I've just found that the zipper tapes have come away from the fabric and frayed (badly) on a Aero cafe racer and my beloved 10-year-old Highwayman. I'm going to have to send them away as soon as the apocalypse has been averted. There should be a machine that re-stamps tape on to zippers...
I have an Aero Stockman that I was trying to shift but might have to end up keeping. The lining is a blue, black and white tartan which has just (after 7 years) managed to wear through at two spots in the lower back. The wear looks like it would eventually follow a horizontal line a little way...
Lovely jacket, scalloped pocket flaps, patch pockets unlined with leather facing, has black storm cuff knits, no inner pockets. Size 40, back length 31 inches, sleeves 24.5 inches, pit to pit 25 inches, lined with a blue, black and white tartan. This would have room for a heavy sweater...
I'm going to order one of these from Aero shortly. I'd take a size 40 Highwayman; a previous Cafe Racer did not fit in a size 40, so was moved on. Have any loungers who would 'normally' take a 40 in another pattern sized up to a 42? Would it be necessary to go up more than one size?
Would be curious to see it- I just might be thinking of a Cafe Racer from Aero in this hide (once I have thought carefully on this matter, of course...).
J.
I'd usually take a size 40 in suit jacket/Aero jacket sizes and am pretty much an oblong shape (34 inch waist). Previous cafe racer jacket didn't work in a 40 (about an inch too short and maybe an inch too tight) so I sold it to my favourite barman after struggling with it for a couple of...
Just received a Teamster in seal jerky HH, and made the mistake of getting it with larger inside pockets- these make the jacket uncomfortable to wear and really have affected the line of it. The stitching also seems to be coming away on the inside lowest edge, which is a bit worrying. Ugh. My...
I'm pulling the trigger on one in seal brown jerky. Would you guys advise shortening it (I'm a size 40), asking for a trimmer fit, etc. etc.? I'm fairly sold on August-style cuffs.
I'm thinning the herd- the LHB, the SB and the Stockman are now in the classifieds as I'm off to warmer climes.
Selling as it won't be needed in warmer climes. Lovely jacket, scalloped pocket flaps, patch pockets unlined with leather facing, has black storm cuff knits, no inner pockets. Size 40, back length 31 inches, sleeves 24.5 inches, pit to pit 25 inches, lined with a blue, black and white tartan...
I've noticed that this collar (and those of the Himel Canuck and one of Whitefeather mfg's designs) have the lining visible on the lower portion of the lapel. I think this looks really good and wondered if it would be possible on a Teamster or Stockman collar- and also what the motivation was...
As I don't wear this as much as I should and it's wasted just hanging in a cupboard, I am selling this jacket. It is a copy of a 60's or 70's Canadian car coat, with button cuffs, olive cotton lining and d-ring side adjusters. Originally 810 GBP, I am selling it for 450 GBP plus P&P. It...
Originally cost 700 GBP, I'm selling this for 400 GBP plus p&p. These are the measurements from the receipt:
Size 38 // Long Half Belt // Cordovan FQHH // No bi-swing back // No snaps in pockets // nickel zips // Macdonald of Ardnamurchan tartan lining // 62cm Sleeves = 24.5” // 63cm Back =25”...
Folks,
I am weak and easily led and have decided (almost) on a size 40 Teamster in tumbled cordovan. What I want to know is this- how long is this style? I have a Stockman which is the longest Aero in my possession. I am hoping that a Teamster would be similar in length (or a touch shorter)...
