In a fit of procrastination from studying for finals, I hung up all my clip back earrings! All but three pairs here are vintage. I'm so happy to have them out! Too bad my screw back ones kept falling off :(
I think under $100 for each is well worth it! You're petite, aren't you? I would think I would be bigger than you, not smaller, but I will take a compliment and say "Daisy thinks I look slim how nice of her to say!" lol
I like the idea of writing down everything you need to get accomplished in the house. Do one or two of the easy ones. Go out and pick up that curtain rod or pack of lightbulbs. Then be done with it for the day, and hop in the tub with a book and glass of wine...or beverage of choice.
Daisy, holy crap, I love those!! How much? TELL!! What are your measurements? If they don't fit you...I know I live farther away than I used to...but....GIMME!
Here is what I have purchased, my boyfriend frowns at me for self-buying around Xmas but TOO BAD!!
Wood, not bakelite...
NO!! Only on the ones that say they have stretch. I would steer clear of those. I have a limited edition tomato dress they made a few years back, no stretch, and it fits perfectly and not like spandex!
As a Jan. 18th baby, I seem to be just far enough away from Xmas that people don't combine.
I am loathe to have a huge amount of people come to my house and mess it all up, so for my birthday I always go to my favorite bar and invite everyone I know. Every year the pictures are fantastic...
For me, Los Angeles is about many things, since I lived there for awhile.
In N Out Burgers (!!)
Astro Burger's Buffalo Burgers OR Ostrich Burgers AND fried zucchini
The Formosa Cafe's Mai Tais
Since I've moved back to this coast I've become a vegetarian, so when I'm in LA in a few...
I know how you feel, a few months ago I was trying to find one I liked, without success, until I realized I already had something that was perfect. I'll keep my eyes peeled.
Which have you found on ebay? The satin quilted ones? I have mine in a wooden "Honeymoon Mead" box with a sliding top, because I have tons! Mostly leather for the winter though.
ARRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH is exactly how I feel when searching for 40s platforms in my size! On the rare occasion they come up, they sell for approximately 8 million dollars.
Well, I know a really good guy in Beverly Hills, Arturo's Shoe Fix. Perhaps worth the drive in the future. I had him dye a pair of suede Manolo Blahnik pumps from green to black and they came out wonderfully, and his fixes were always flawless.
Paris = nutella crepes bought from a street vendor
Provence = campari and orange juice. I know that it's weird to think of an Italian aperitif in the context of the South of France, but hey, I'm weird!
Lagos, Portugal = Sangria!
I actually agree with this completely. My lady friends and I call it a "girl crush." As in, "she is just so cool and looks fabulous every day, plus her apartment is period-perfect! I have such a girl crush on her."
