Daisy, did I tell you I went to Bobby's warehouse before I moved? I went through about 7 boxes of shoes...and only found one pair in my size! Darn these size 9.5's of mine! But I bought a dress too, and he threw in a pair of stockings for free...so overall it was worth it. I think I spent...
I just won these for $26, and they're a size 9. I have no idea why they went for so little. The insides are worn, but the exterior is perfectly fine. Cheap!!
Nicoletta - I don't have any scottie dog anything but they're very popular! I think they tend to be expensive too, and I assume, as with anything that is expensive on ebay, there tend to be fakes out there, so make sure to test for bakelite and be sure it's vintage. I personally don't really...
I would tell my mom just to rub it in!! Haha :)
I have plenty of little vintage bracelets that are casual enough for every day wear - bakelite and celluloid - then of course there are the ones encrusted with rhinestones that are for evening. Since Nicoletta asked I am going to take some more...
Oh yeah, I knew you were veg! I forgot tho. I like the oatmeal idea too. I may steal that. When I started my interval training my walk was still 4.5 but the run was only 6.5, so I've been increasing it gradually as I feel more capable/less exhausted.
Nice boobs! lol With that, I would probably wear a pencil skirt. But if that's not an option, my second favorite type of skirt is a full A-line or circle skirt (in black, white, or red as was already mentioned). If weather permits, I might also pair it with some capri pants! Even a cuffed...
That's right, LD! Now git to it!
Seriously, I have a pretty grueling workout that involves a 7.5 mph run at intervals with a 4.5 powerwalk, stairmaster, and elliptical. Even though it's not fun to go to the gym in tight pants when bloated, it really does make me feel less crampy and grumpy...
I'm a g-string wearer too, I wear them under my girdles and use the "pull to the side" technique when wearing them so I don't have to take off my girdle when I have to go! lol
I used to feel this way too about my vintage bathing suits (as you can see from my earlier posts in this thread) and sometimes I still do wear my vintage bathing suits in the water, but generally I use them for lounging. Wearing a vintage suit in chlorinated water is scary when you take it off...
My fave is Rago 9051, I have it in two colors. I don't unhook it when I use the bathroom, I just pull it over to the side. I've been doing this for a few years, no problems! I guess I could unhook it but that's a pain.
I have a lovely cream colored coat with a leopard collar that is perfect for winter, but it is one of those unfortunate vintage garments that closes with large snaps rather than buttons. The idea behind the snaps, I assume, is that they are hidden. Buttons would break up the line of the coat...
A classic suit is perfect, whether it's vintage or not. I don't wear pantsuits myself. I just bought a black pinstripe suit with pencil skirt and single-button blazer at H&M for $80, and I love it!
