I think I speak for all of us when I say...PICTURES!!!! Post a pic of at least both pairs of shoes, with the matching gloves...I personally would go matchy-matchy. Also, of course you can wear a tilt hat!

Anyone ever seen Fred Perlberg gowns?

:offtopic: I wanted to mention - specialist auction thumbnail images are way too small! Can you use your influence to make them larger?

Signs of The Times - Astrology Thread

;) I am a cusp, plus I think it's a bunch of hooey, so rather than choose three (not that I could anyway) I just went with the obvious. ;)

Are You Brave Enough to Share Your Prom Photos?

Oh heck yeah I have to find them! In one, my hair is a mess - I had it blown straight but it rained :( In the other I look...well, it's not the best picture but at least my date was cute.

    Besame cosmetics

I had wanted to buy both shimmer beige and socialite brown, so I picked up the dark compact. I see now why Besame is so expensive - the lovely packaging! Looks very pretty on my vanity. I am very pleased with the colors, and I tried the black liner today too and it looks very nice. Guess...

Fight breaks out at Boston Pops concert

My mom and I had season tickets (orhcestra seats) to the BSO for several years and I never once saw tables set up in front of the stage. Does only the Pops do this? Confused!

    1930's Ladies Sportswear

I knew I remembered this thread! I have a really nice white straw fedora that I would love to pair with a white 40's looking (linen?) suit. Any more pictures of 30's or 40's women's sportswear out there?

Learning a New Language Past Age 10

You do actually learn language with a different part of your brain when you're an adult. My uncle's friend had a stroke and lost his native English but could still converse in Italian, which he learned in high school / college.

Learning a New Language Past Age 10

Take an immersion class, I think. And work on it a LOT. Memorizing vocabulary is tough and it's the first to go. I'm formerly fluent in French.

    Girdles, Corsets, and Underpinnings

I second this motion. I really love the Rago shapers. Have you tried a full-body Rago shaper? You order by cup size and they really are quite supportive. Mine gives me plenty of support, and I need it!
