Where do you all order your Akubras?
I have five Akubras now and three more coming plus one that I sold. All were ordered from Hatsdirect or EA. I have had good service and good communications from both places. -

That looks good, Phil. I may have to get another one and have the brim bound like you and Rusty did. Pinching the brim is so easy, I pinched mine a little tighter too. Just wet it, pinch it and let it dry. -

Man, that sure is a fine looking beater, RFish. I've never seen a Whippet in that camel color. Looks good. A whippet is on my hit list on the bay, but no luck yet and they go for a ton o' money even if they're only close to what I'm looking for. -

I've never had my hands on a milan, but I do have a couple of Montecristos and a Cuenca, and I have a couple of Akubra polypropylene straws coming. Can one of you afficionados explain the difference to me, or should I just go ahead and buy one so I can feel the difference? :D -

Thanks, Mr. P. I think I'll go look for a couple of shirts and ties that I can put with a navy suit to wear under this hat and pick up the brim color. We're hoping to see you and Mrs. P on the boat in September. -

Congrats, Travis. You look good in that one. I really like that leather band. I was able to touch Boxerken's Penman at the Highpoint dinner when we met in Monteagle, and I was impressed with Mr. Penman's work. I'm thinking that I need to have one of his hats to adopt into my hat family... -
Akubra Overload
Fats, I haven't had any multiple hat shipments from either Hatsdirect or EA. I ordered all of my felts one at a time. I did order two straws from EA at the same time, but I haven't received either yet and they will be shipped separately because one was in stock and one had to be ordered for me... -
