Congrats to your son, Rusty. He made it this far...there aint no turning back now. He'll make it fine. Nice hat, by the way. Mine isn't here yet.
:cheers1: Cheers, Mr. Paladin, and congratulations on your thousandth post. Here's to your next thousand and your next and your next.....I'm flattered that you include me among such hat afficionados, and I don't feel that I belong amongst this band of hat connoisseurs and historians...

Tony is one of us. I have two of his hats, both of which are amazing. He's a heck of a guy who will make you a very nice hat.

Rusty, I thought you gave up buying vintage lids? That's a good reason to get back to it though. Sometimes those old hats just cry out for a center dent. That one's a beaut.
Beautiful, both of them, NB. Don't you think that black hats are both a curse and a blessing? Every time I wear one of mine I spend ten times more time brushing it, but they look so darn good with a black/gray/charcoal outfit of some kind. I have The Black that Mike Moore made for me with the...
Gene, I have to say I almost failed when you started talking exacto knives on the brim of yours, but it turned out fantastic. I knew it would, sir. I've seen you wear too many wonderful hats before. ;)

That's a beauty, Mulceber. I really like how the color of your hat changes as the light does and that ribbon is killer. Congratulations!
I'll be interested in seeing those pics, JNC. That's a color I'm interested in, but I think it may be a little too blue for what I want. You will love the light felt though.
Why thank you, Mrs. Carey. That's Major Moore's hat. We had the pleasure of visiting his shop in Covington, TN, recently, and I just had to bring home a souvenir to remember the occasion. That's his Moorelite felt in natural. It's so light I can wear it in the IL heat and humidity, and I far and...
Thanks, Sam. I'd take them all if I could get them. The whippet is one of my favs along with the Strat. I'd take all the colors in that one too. I was thinking this morning how cool it would be if we could walk into a store and pick out a new one the way they did in the '50's.
