Ramadan also begins today! I don't know if anyone here is Moslem, but I thought I'd throw that out there as well.
Also...my two cents in the form of my favorite quote. I thought it was first said by St. John of Kronstadt, but I double checked...and it's a famous one from Plato. :rolleyes...
I'd love to have your figure! It sounds pretty normal to me, and I've seen many a vintage dress with your waist size so that the rest could be altered to fit.
Currently I'm...huge compared to the ladies who have posted their measurements so far. My waist is 43!! *gasp* I've only been...
LOL. I was Jr. High during the last days of big mall hair (late 80's/ealry 90's??), and even though I tried for the huge bangs I was rather shy to really go for it. hehe. My mom kept telling me to go bigger and bigger (she was on the mall hair train), but I didn't want to attract any more...
shebagrl - cute cute cute!! i love your curls! they look great to me. :)
laura - my fringe is really short too...about three inches? i can't estimate, but they are a nusiance! i'll have to experiment this weekend. :)
Dunno if anyone mentioned this...but I think that the Anne of Green Gables movies are simply fabulous. They did place the story at the turn of the century rather than the mid 1800's (??) which led to a truly horrible third movie not long ago...but that's another topic.
But the first two films...
Thanks! I've always been hesitant to try anything with height...it makes me feel weird. What do you think...pomp? Rolls?
And thank you Red and ClaraB. :)
Our office is pretty lax so one could wear pretty much anything as long as they didn't look slovenly. One of my friends is a snazzy dresser and frequently changes her hair color...pink...blue...orange...natural. hehe. Another woman is a fanatic gymrat, so she always wears clothes that look...
Aaahahahaha! I remember Baby Alive! I used to watch the commercials with the same caution that I reserved for the likes of "Nightmare on Elm Street."
I am jealous of your Princess Leia doll, though. My mom refused to buy me anything more than a lunchbox even though I was obsessed with Star...
lincsong - hehe, you're welcome. it's great to share things like this.
eniksleestack - were naval landings common in italy? i wish i knew where this had taken place, i'd love to read more about it.
carter - you see seven planes? where? i can't see 'em.
hondo - hehe, thanks. i only know...
Hey all, here I am starting another new thread, yet again. Sorry.
...Not really. lol
I just wanted to share with you some photos that my grandfather had brought home from the war. He was in the Air Force, stationed in Italy (and my grandmother says in Northern Africa as well...) and did...
To me, the tone in which I am addressed matters more and is telling of the speaker's intent. If someone calls me a lady or addresses me as ma'am with a sarcastic tone...I will be offended. If someone calls me those things with respect, then I love it! lol
Then again, I am rarely addressed in...
Today was actually a crappy day. The whole week has sucked, but today was the worst.
To top it off all the friends and family that I called to chat with either didn't answer, or started talking to me and then got distracted and hung up. WTF? Even my hairdresser won't call me back!
Peh...
wow. some of you are really well travelled!
let's see here...i've really only ever visited both seaboards, but sad to say...nothing in the middle.
Oregon, Washington, California, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusets...
