Has anyone ever tried to resew a sweat band that has come out of a hat? I got my Kenmore today and the liner is torn which I knew and the band is coming out-didn't know, Can I sew in back in myself? And if so-How?

Vintage look
I'm trying to accomplish the vintage look on a budget, So far I have 6 fedoras and 1 short fat tie. A bunch of vests and shoes.
