Seconded! (except the ice part :-) And you can get a decent top shelf bourbon for not all that much money. I buy Basil Hayden for about $37, and if you're just drinking it neat, it will last you quite a long time.
But like scotch, it's definitely an acquired taste.

Very cute dress! I don't know what you do for work, but I'd be careful with job interviews. This dress is pretty sex-kittenish and might not be your best choice, depending on your field. Definitely a great staple LBD though!

Hazel, I didn't know you were on here, welcome! This purse is amazing and I want to steal it. Totally matches this belt and brooch I bought today at a vintage flea market... The belt is a double belt but each separate one can be removed from the connector and used separately. The brooch is...
I understand that. I've also had many earring lots bubble wrapped and shipped in flat rate envelopes. Please don't "roll your eyes" at me - I'm just trying to be helpful, as many buyers DO notice shipping costs and factor it into their decision whether or not to bid on an item.
These earring lots look great, but what method are you using for your flat rate shipping? You're overcharging for your shipping by almost twice what it should cost - these items should fit in a USPS flat rate box for quite a bit less than what you're asking.
new item!
Vintage 40s babydolls in a daring, true red. Leather upper, very well made, and no scuffs. Classic pin up shape, very simple with an asymmetrical fan gathered detail wrapping the toe. I'm so sad - I bought these shoes and love them but they're just too small for me. Before I fully...
Definitely let us know! It's a super clever idea!
Here's another one I had - I decided I really needed someplace to sit while putting on my stockings and shoes to avoid the odd balancing act and the awkward bending over if I need to nudge my shoes on. I'd also been looking for something to put...
No, it's not plastic. I own a lot of fake leather shoes and find that most shoes like this look and feel like real leather. They are maybe a tad less durable than real leather, but usually cost a lot less too which balances it out.

Early-mid 40s dress w/ 3/4 length sleeves. Fabric...

I'm so clever it hurts
Ever since I moved into this new apartment with a smaller closet, I've been struggling with my shoes. The new closet has an awesome raised shoe shelf, which is great, but I've been keeping some of them in another cabinet because there just isn't enough space.
Now I've...
Currently reading "Survival of the Prettiest: The Science of Beauty" by Nancy Etcoff, a book about the evolutionary role of "beauty" (among many other things). Pretty fascinating book, but I find her writing style to be a bit meandering, and the structure of her book to be a tad confusing.
