then, I think, you have no choice but to leave positive feedback.
From your description of events, the seller has done nothing wrong at all.
I have had similar situations before and sometimes, eBay items look fantastic
in photos...
Maybe it's difficult to tell from the colours on screen but it looks like the hat
could be a '57+ vintage, due to the band colour and the top/cover is a pre-'57
vintage OD one, maybe even not an officer grade one.
Like someone's trying to WW2-ify a cap.

Can you combine and accessorise with this field-grey?
You can also get a Luftwaffe version of this trouser, which is a blue-grey.
I think they may be a bit too woolly for everyday pants but as CP said,
good for the outdoor activities.

Definitely sounds like poly-cotton.
Cotton, as yarn and cloth has changed over the years.
It is processed differently, cheaply- the better grades and qualities have
now become luxury goods. What we see now in t-shirts and other low-end
cottons is pretty junky.
