    Vintage Style Crewneck Sweatshirts?

I think if you poke around enough you can find a vintage one for the same or less as a new one. What size are you?

Feet Up! The Work Boot Thread

Like the polish job! I only use an occasional dab of Pecards on my IR's. Sturdy and comfortable pair of boots!

    Jeans

The Levi's store has a nice selection of selvege jeans for fairly cheap...my wife picked up a pair for less than $30 on sale. Nothing wrong with modern jeans, but why not wear a more period correct version?

    A-3 Mechanic's Cap

Got this cap last week and I have to say it's really nicely done. It's a bit softer than I expected, but I've never held a real WWII one in deadstock conidition so there's nothing to compare it to.

    Vintage Workwear

HarpPlayerGene - those look to be 50's to me...btw, Sanforization was patented in 1930. Not all items that are Sanforized are from 1950's or later.

That style pocket looks odd on a t-shirt!

I saw them at the store in NYC, not bad for the price. They come in longer inseams than 32" as well (just not on the Levi's website).

    The new Mullett

The new mullet is still the mullet....people are rocking them every day! I call that haircut you are describing the "safety hawk". I had a real mohawk back in the 80's and had to fight off attacks on a near daily basis.

    At The Front Paratrooper Boots

I've owned the Corcoran jump boots and ATF service shoes....Corcoran wins hands down for comfort and quality. The ATF boots are a general width (bigger than D) and are made in China. The Corcoran boots I had were made in USA.

30s England style haircut - how to describe to and receive from modern barber

One would think that, but the Barber seems to be a dying trade here in the US. There are sporadic outcroppings of traditional barbering, but not everywhere.

30s England style haircut - how to describe to and receive from modern barber

I fall into that category. I have wavy hair that sticks out on the sides if not cut short....sorry, no ducktail for me.

    Henry the Hatter

Been in there several times. I think the selection is good and the staff can be a little cold at times, but they are helpful. I heard that the original owner was the boxing commissioner of Detroit at one time. The neon sign outside is fantastic!

    A-3 Mechanic's Cap

Thanks for the insight Hatflick! I have a few other items from WWII Impressions and have been pleased with the quality too.
