That ain't vintage. :D
In the spirit of Hiram Maxim and the Roosevelt brothers (Teddy and Co.) pre-1934, this is my next purchase, for my Springfield SOCOM 16.

Century old, over the counter technology, today. :eusa_clap
There's really only one "violent" scene, a very realistic fight "2 on 1" in a bathhouse. Viggo is nekkid for the length of it, if that is a plus. [huh]
There are a couple killings that are bloody but that's more the technique chosen to kill than the scene itself. You can shut your eyes and...
A song titled "Don't, This Way" by the 77's.

As for the whistling girl association, whistling and...
I'm planning on trying to make one of these, a suspender holster. Talk about vintage.
I was going to size it for a Colt '06 .380 and make a few modifications.
"Public Enemies" - Michael Mann
Just read an interview online with Christian Bale.
A period gangster movie?
By Michael Mann?
He's a detail guy so it should all be excellent.
(I'll not mention the glorious gunfight scenes I anticipate, cause you'd all think I'm weird)...
