How was your Dark Corojo? I'm wondering if some aging will settle that one down a bit. I think I've only smoked one, and it was definitely not for a beginner.
I've never seen packaging like that, but it sounds wasteful.
The Mi Amor was quite good. Enjoyed it with a taste of Aberlour a'bunadh from a new bottle just opened tonight. Interesting change in color and taste from the first bottle. Still a very good cigar with a very good scotch. Enjoyed...
Perdomo Habano corojo wrapped toro tonight. Delicious, razor sharp burn, solid light gray flakeless ash. Excellent cigar. I never cease to be amazed at what humidor time can do for an already good cigar.
Beautiful lid, Robert. I believe it's Tom-N-Perris who has one made by TonyB in a similar color scheme. The indigo with the silver ribbon makes a very attractive hat. Congrats!
Thanks for posting this video, MV. We made a pilgrimage to Optimo last fall and were treated like royalty, but Graham and Tiffani weren't there that day. I've never spoken with Graham, but I have Tiffani many times. It's nice to put faces with names.
Last night, a Punch Uppercut robusto and tonight a Cubao lancero, both with Lagavulin. I'm really liking the islays and the full flavored cigars that go well with them.
I bought a bottle of Glenmorangie in the Bahamas while we were there. I picked that one because it was the one of the three single malts that I hadn't tried before. Not bad, but next year I'm going to try to take my own scotch from home. More expensive but a much better selection here than there.
