I have had a couple of the rabbit fur hats like those, but I finally bought one off of ebay four or five years back that is shearling, they had many different colors to choose from, and I chose the dark brown. I gave the rabbit fur ones all away and wear this one when I am going to be out side...
I have two of them, one is a nice blue/gray and the other is a caramel with gray and blue fine lines. I like them both, the blue/gray I really like to wear casual with a pair of blue jeans and a charcoal fedora.
I really think they look nice, I want one that is the camel color next.
Many years ago an old cowboy told me how to keep my ears warm during the winter and still wear my stetson hat. We were moving cattle off of the Ridge down into the river valley the day before Christmas one year, my ears were about frozen solid, when we stopped for lunch I asked him how he kept...
Dinerman, this place seems to have a very good selection of buttons, and any other notion a person could have, I believe they will ship world wide.
If you can not get your replacement buttons to mach you may be able to get a whole new set of buttons here, or replacements perhaps...
newbie here, but from my limited knowledge of U-boats I have read in many different references that the clothing was at large left to the crew, I do think that the commanding officers may have had more of a standard uniform, but I still think it was not necessarily a hard and fast rule on what...
Orion made in Poland Overcoat by Stella Li Guido
Fresh from the bay, needs to be cleaned, and my wonderful wife has made a few minor repairs to torn pockets and a loose seam. I know this is not older than 1970 because it has the 3M Thinsulate emblem, it is made in Poland. When my wife was...
That overcoat for the movie looks like an old JC Penny wool coat that I remember playing dress up with when I was a kid. I remember it being huge and the JC Penny label in the back, we only had the Montgomery Ward catalouge and I wanted so much to order a coat like that in my size, but never...

I have taken a lot of old almps and replaced the wire, socket, and plug just to make them usable again...
Have you tried Mill Valley sheepskin coat company? I saw one of theirs at the local thrift store a few weeks back, I am sure it is long gone by now. You may just have to search ebay and local thrift stores to find the right one for you.
I did a google search and did see that Mill Valley is...
If you are still interested in selling this to me I would give it a good home, it is very interesting. It does have that traditional Chinese look even the color.
Thanks,
Cliff

I just picked one up the other day and love it.
I have a Dobbs that is not my style so I can understand what you mean.
I know I am new to so much stuff here at FL, so it is no surprise that when I read the title to this thread my mind jumped to satin and long hair...

Evan,
This is me and my horse, this is pictures that are about 4 or 5 years old, Ringo Star is his name, but he prefers being called Ringo by his friends. The jeans I am wearing are Levi 501's, I am impressed that you could tell that in the pictures. I have owned many different pairs of boots...
