I'd probably say Harry Warren, because I love the music from Busby Berkeley musicals. He just squeeks by as my favorite though, because I'm a big fan of Tin Pan Alley songwriters. I'm tempted to give the title to Harold Arlen, if only because It's Only a Paper Moon (the Cliff Edwards version)...
I just finished Nightmare Alley by William Lindsay Gresham (amazing! gripping!), and will probably be heading for a reread of Rider Haggard's King Solomon Mines next since it's part of a final exam I have Saturday.

That's great! I can't believe the number of creams she uses either. The waking up with make up reminds me of the beginning of Gold Diggers of 1933 with Ruby Keeler and the others all decked out in makeup before the day's even started.
Well, thanks! I've been doing a lot more mind cultivation than closet/style cultivation since I've been abroad. I figure my brain's likely to last longer than whatever I look like, so I place higher stock in it (it also doesn't have to be packed into a suitcase like my clothes).
