Dave, go to www.gillettedatecodes.com and that site has everything you need to date your razor. Under the razor you will see a letter on one side and a number opposite. The letters and numbers tell you what year and what quarter of that year the razor was produced.

I also have a Uberti 1873 Single Action Army in .45LC that I like to carry every now and then. It is a little more difficult to pull off in conceal carry mode, but it is fun to carry a cowboy gun.
I have carried a P95 everyday for several years and love it. It is a workhorse of a pistol. I have never had any problems with it. Which gun did you go with?
My Dad passed away in 1989. He served in the Navy during WWII and served in the Air Force during Korea as an AP (Air Police). He was tougher than a nickel steak. I miss him dearly.
