What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Wow, Cat! That's a sweet Fed IV! Did you trim the brim, perchance? I was thinking about doing that with my Moonstone sometime in future.

SOLD: Vintage Royal Steston 7 3/8 Sold

SOLD Try putting pieces of felt or paper towel under the sweatband for loose hats. I don't know when this was made. There's a thread for dating Stetsons by liner but I didn't go through that completely. Someone said '50s when I first posted it on "Post New Hats Here".

SOLD: Vintage Royal Steston 7 3/8 Sold

HI! Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Yep, it's still waiting for you. The tag under the sweatband definitely says 7 3/8. I just measured the sweatband using the masking tape method and I got 23 inches around the inside. According to Miller Hats website that is definitely 7 3/8...

    Post New Hats Here!

Oh dear! :o I'm not certain but, if it's the hat I'm thinking of, that might have been me. I'm so sorry! :eusa_doh: I tend to erase the items I don't win from my 'Bay archives, so I can't be sure. In the last few auctions I made a last ditch effort by bidding just a hair beyond the limit...

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

From my observation, I expect that 1-1 to hit well before Christmas :(

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

Yeah, I think you might be right. It's a much more popular size. What I really really want isn't likely to float along in the Bay anyway. If I can sell one or two more of my costume items on Etsy, I'll have enough to buy another Fed IV before the exchange rates get too high.

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

Wow, HP. What a gem! Good find there. I'm still grumpy because the last 3 or 4 7 3/4 hats I bid on were snatched away from me. Curse my huge head! It's so hard to find my size and when I do they always go for more than I can pay. I think I'm going to start looking for 7 5/8 and...

Sue, you make every lid you wear look delightful! It doesn't matter what material, style, brim width, or whatever. How are you doing that? :)

Ask a question, get an answer

Hmmm... I wonder if this could be made with wire in a way that wouldn't damage a hat stored in it. Perhaps some sort of plastic that can be bent with heat into whatever shape you need? [huh]

:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap Fantastic find, Dreispitz! Not everyone can pull off a bowler, but you are obviously one of those who can, no matter what you wear with it.

    Michael Jackson HAT

Thanks for noticing, Sue! I drew it this weekend and finished coloring it in the computer last night. I thought about posting the full sized version in the "How To Draw Fedoras" thread, but the icon works just fine for me.
