SOLD Try putting pieces of felt or paper towel under the sweatband for loose hats. I don't know when this was made. There's a thread for dating Stetsons by liner but I didn't go through that completely. Someone said '50s when I first posted it on "Post New Hats Here".- Roninjedi

SOLD: Vintage Royal Steston 7 3/8 Sold
HI! Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Yep, it's still waiting for you. The tag under the sweatband definitely says 7 3/8. I just measured the sweatband using the masking tape method and I got 23 inches around the inside. According to Miller Hats website that is definitely 7 3/8...- Roninjedi

Yeah, I think you might be right. It's a much more popular size. What I really really want isn't likely to float along in the Bay anyway. If I can sell one or two more of my costume items on Etsy, I'll have enough to buy another Fed IV before the exchange rates get too high. -

Hmmm... I wonder if this could be made with wire in a way that wouldn't damage a hat stored in it. Perhaps some sort of plastic that can be bent with heat into whatever shape you need? [huh] -
