Hat sizes : Akubra vs. Borsalino vs. Stetson
Bear in mind that one mans 59 is not another's. A size is approximately a 3/8" (1cm) range. I find my Akubra hats are no different than any other brand I sell and can be anywhere I that range. Hat Dimension Compensation Based on Size
It's my experience that the brim is seldom is as stated. As a seller the brim size in all my listings is always followed by "(approx.)".- Monavillecowboy

Montechristi Panamas: are these types of holes normal?
They're hand woven and irregularities are inevitable. The only folks I've known to complain about such things are those who think they know more than they do and those that don't know anything at all. I once had a complaint about the stain inside the crown. It was only part of the Ecuadorian stamp.- Monavillecowboy

The brim is not dimensional. It is supposed to be 2 1/8" but does vary a bit. I just measured one of mine and it was 2 1/4" all the way around. It's really not a bad looking hat.
