    We all have that very powerful remote control to decide what we watch don't we? Carping about something I don't watch would be me complaining about the many shopping channels as shallow and lacking the ability to handle the merchandise. If you don't particularly like a channel don't watch it.;)

    Dinerman, I've made a maximum bid on some item before with no plan to go higher. It was a reasonably high bid but not over my percieved value of the item. Certainly it could have looked like I was a ringer padding the bid but putting in a maximum bid is what an auction is all about isn't it...

    As Rosie says dreams are linked to waking experiences or thoughts. About everything you dream can be traced to a conversation or event when awake. If you reminise about your grandmother for a few minutes you'll probably see her in a dream.:)

    Last Tuesday in LA it was 97 so I replaced my felt with a Panama for the weekly vintage car cruise-in. Today at a high of 72 I'll go back to felt.     As a published writer I agree that I have crafted articles from a burning desire to get thoughts out there in coherent form. If I am stimulated by a subject it is easy to put toghther 2,000 words in 3-4 hours.

    My 1950 Packard transports me back to an idyllic time especially when I'm wearing a fedora or Panama.:) I have a few old pistols and shotguns that I highly prize from family members though they are probably no high in monetary value.
