Oh goodness, my idea of a "Spa Day" is slapping on a pore strip and putting some lotion on my legs! You ladies are giving me good ideas though!
One thing I would do often when I lived at home was the facial steam thing, except with rose petals, calendula, chamomile and lavender. I would also...
I love My Baby Jo's! My boyfriend and I go there often as it's not too far from my apartment. He's been dying to get one of those 50's jackets. They have really great men's stuff, which is why he loves the place so much. It's hard to find nice repro casual menswear these days!
Oh god, you poor man! Ever since I read that I think about it once every couple of days!
I have this love/hate fascination with bugs and all sorts of creepy crawly things ever since our house got infested with these little beetle things. I was in 3rd grade and we came home from vacation and...
That's my ringtone on my cell! ;)
True, but I do have a pretty embarrassing movie soundtrack in my Itunes. Remember Newsies? That Disney musical about paperboys in turn of the century NYC? I can't get enough of it! :)
More books! This time it's Bonomo Original Hollywood Success Course from the 1940's.
My mom took me to Target and got me these lovelies:
A bright coral (not so dull!) ruched sleeve sweater top. They had some great colors, mustard yellow being one of them, that seemed so 40's to me...
Okay, pretty much all of mine are embarrassing, of course, it's always the cheesy pop songs I get hooked on!
Here we go, don't hate me for some of these!:
Dramarama - Anything, Anything
2 Minutos - Pandora Box
Nelly Furtado - Say it Right (told ya I love pop!)
Ladytron - Destroy...
I haven't tried pincurls yet, but I'm probably going to next week. Over at vintage_hair on livejournal someone posted a tutorial where they clipped their hair with these:
I can't imagine those are meant to be slept on though! What do you ladies use to secure your pincurls if you're going...
When I was 6 I fell in love with Dylan from 90210. The kind of modern-day James Dean was a look that I found to die for in men when I was little, and then when I was in middle school I discovered the hunkiness that is rockabilly dudes.
It wasn't until I was in high school when I actually...
Oh lordy, do I need to get measured! I measured myself recently according to those guides online and apparently I'm a 34C! I measured about 100 times but I refuse to believe it, my bust just looks too small to be a C cup!
The only brand of bras that don't bug the heck out of me (as much) are...
I don't know my grandma's size, but she's about that height and is an apple shape as well. I know she gets a lot of her pants at Talbot's because they have a big Petite's section. Maybe she should check that place out? They have lots of good basics.
I keep mine folded in vintage stocking boxes. I have a satin lingerie bag too, but it isn't very big. I keep all the boxes in a shopping bag in my closet. My dresser is way too cramped to fit them in there. As long as I keep everything neat I don't have any problems with snags.
Mean look!
That's my old fave, Revlon Moisturous Lipstick in Red Monsoon. It was a little less sheer in real life than in the picture, but it was kind of a pain because it was so glossy it would get all over the place unless I was super careful. I still love it though!
This is from my...
