Video games based in the golden era

I agree Brothers in Arms is great, any WWII aficianado and certainly any gamer should have it in their library. :cheers1: I didn't enjoy Mafia at all though, if anyone wants my copy for the PC, I'll see if I can find it and ship it to you.

    Advice for newbie wanted

Always good to see a fellow North Carolinian (I was born in Gastonia myself, and I now live in Southport). :cheers1: Alas, I think you're out of luck looking for quality hats around there. Though if you are looking for good shoes, there is a place that carries Aldens in Charlotte...

Would you say the workmanship is of the same quality as the WWII Impressions?

Yours looks really sharp Paddy. :cheers1: I've always liked the look of these but I've never got around to getting one.

WWII Boots - Service, Jump, etc.

I think I might place an order for the service shoes from At The Front within the week, I don't really like the look of the thick rubber soles on the ones from WWII Impressions.

WWII Boots - Service, Jump, etc.

Seems like we share exactly the same shoe size, Matt. It'll make my ordering the right size easier :cheers1:

WWII Boots - Service, Jump, etc.

I was looking at the service shoes on "atthefront" and was wondering something, are these shoes good for wearing on a daily basis or are they more for "historically accurate" reenacting?

What's going on with vintage prices?

I know what you mean, I try to check e-bay at least thrice a week and go to thrift stores twice a week -- nada (me having a size 7 1/2 head and a 47 chest). I'm kinda getting frustrated now finding: 1) Things that fit, and 2) Things that I can purchase using my meager teenage budget. :p

I don't know if I would call Gene Wilder's movie better than the novel though.

    Furs

I just want to point out that the original poster of this thread only asked how prevalant furs were, not whether it is ethical or not. I doubt they want their thread to turn into a debate.
