The lady who owns it posted on here once and offered us a discount, but they quickly cut her off because she wasn't a paid vendor. Thanks so much for the insights! I think I may look for something easier to start with. Or buy the pattern and see if I can get it made. The lady who tailored my wedding dress was very interested in my reenacting, etc and said she'd be open to making me something. Just concerned about the cost...- texasgirl

Have any of you ever bought a pattern from the Vintage Pattern Lending Library on ebay? They have historical patterns that have been replicated? I've been thinking about trying to make a dress. I just watched this the other day. One of my favorites! Yes, I like sappy movies-lol. As far as the color, I think it depends on the lighting at the different points in the movie. To me it looks more red. Maybe very subtle blonde highlights added. Are you doing it yourself? I'd recommend taking... -

Laura- It's supposed to be full in the hip. It actually has a really pretty gathering on each side of the hips. It's sheer- would need a slip, but not so sheer you'd see the slip if you know what I mean. No holes or anything. The lighter area around the neckline has slight discoloration, but...- texasgirl
