As some may know, I'm a moderator at another board, and I hate that I keep mentioning it. But I have a question for Loungers, and this isn't an indictment, or an accusation, I really want to know. I'm going by what I learned on local shows about New Orleans history. This is what occurred here. I don't know that we had overactive or any HOA's here, way back then. Must be racism in SoCal, I guess.- RedPop4

Why do I hate the 1970s so much?
Someone a few pages back mentioned white-flight and the development of the suburbs. Part of the problem with that was the sheer number of men returning from the war in their mid 20s in 1945-48. They all wanted their own homes, they had GI Bill money to do it, as well. Here in New Orleans...- RedPop4
