Yeah well, it's not downplayed in Australia, that's for sure as we were bombed by the Japanese in Darwin, Sydney and Northen Australia.
Darwin came under attack 64 times between 1942 and 43 and around 300 people died and some 300 more seriously injured. There are some old timers who say a 1000...

I do like a man who dresses well and I love the vintage...
I'm 5 8" and I hate it. I rarely wear heels because I feel like I tower over everyone. Just wish I was 5 6". I like to be with a guy that is taller than me (last exes long term were 6 2" and 6 ") but lately guys seem to be all shorter than me. I also hate being taller than all my female friends...
Everything that everyone has made here is so lovely. I finished my jeans but I think the denim I used was maybe too thin. They didn't turn out as well as the grey trousers. Will post tomorrow.
You HAVE to open it! If it is glue sealed, steam it open so you can close it again of you want. If tape sealed just slice the tape with a scalpel or blade. Could be a gift set or anything :) Fancy it never being opened. Maybe the lady bought a stock of them and then passed away or...
Thanks guys. nice to actually be able to POST something here ;) Putting the darts in was no drama DPD. Same width an everything. Just makes them sit flatter for me :) My bum is wide enough as it is, don't need the front looking the same...hahah.
So lovely LD, as always.
Finally, I have something to post for a change. Aweful pics of me in my new grey woolen blend 30s style trousers - made from Lauren's Wearing History pattern. The grey is darker than it appears and has a charcoal fleck through it.
Because these are for formal (for...
Jasmine; I scan old photos that I own and use the edging. I have a collection of different ones with various tears, shapes and sizes. They are masked and layered in in Photoshop and I play with the opacity. Other stains etc...I make myself.
I have glass bottle of real sugared coke in my fridge right now. You can buy glass, plastic or can here. If I can't get glass I will always buy the can. It all tastes rank in a plastic bottle.
Too much sugar is indeed bad for you but corn syrup is way worse. It goes directly to the liver...
All soft drinks in Australia are made with sugar (apart from diets ones). What is it with the US and corn syrup?? Fancy having to have 'made with sugar' written on a can of soft drink. That is crazy! And yeah, Coke tastes bleh in the US.
This is my current red.
It's a little darker than normal as I couldn't get my regular Garnier colour. This was another brand. Mine is usually the same colour as Christina Hendricks's hair and Garnier Nuttrisse reds are the only ones I have found in 20 years of colouring my own hair -...
Cool! And you have just reminded me that I have 3 of these around the house :) I completely forgot about them! I might just use when I travel next time. They are all mens ones though.
I just wanted to review this wonderful new Wearing History pattern.
Unlike so many other repro patterns, this is SO easy to use and has such a lovely cut! I made my first pair of trousers in about 4 hours flat out of a wool blend, and I would call myself an intermediate sewer at best. I was...
I just recieved this 1928 Butterick patterin in the mail. Unused too :) Can't wait to make it! I have so many sewing projects on the go! The most in a very long time!
