What sparked your fascination with the "Golden Era"?
Swing dancing and aerials :) I think it helped that my mom was really into big band music and took us to the Lionel Hampton Jazz festival when she could- HepKitty

ooh the feather Indians came to school all dressed up one day when I was a kid and made Indian fry bread and other stuff, I think the recipe was similar. I'm not much for shortening (except for soap, makes very nice soap) but what they made for us was delish! I'll try this with normal oil...- HepKitty

I think it's the practice that's a big turn-off, people give up too soon.
