The Lutterloh System
Lutterloh I have a Lutterloh book too, it's the 1956 edition. I made 2 dresses so far without knowing too much about sewing. The second dress came out fine, and I will do some more, hopefully. The pattern making is easy, although I find it a challenge to take into account my bust-waist-hip...- wahine

These dresses are so wonderful, you inspire me to try to sew more, too. I wouldn't get such great results (also, it's hard to get nice fabrics where I live) but isn't it a good feeling to wear something you made yourself. You ladies do great jobs, thanks for showing the pics! :eusa_clap- wahine

Comments You Get When You Dress Vintage
When I was wearing this dress (with matching gloves) at an Oldies Festival the other week, a man took a picture of me, and asked me if it's really vintage. Then he asked if I go dressed up like this every day. On my saying No, he came closer (too close), touched my arm as if I was a cute puppy...- wahine

I'm not sure if you can get it in the US, maybe in the bay (search term would be "lutterloh" or "golden rule"). If you find one, it will probably be very expensive! There are supplements that might be easier to get but they're kind of useless without the measure ruler (I don't know the correct...- wahine

Thanks for the welcome, Kate O Potato! :) I love the car, too. I wish it was mine. The pic was taken at the "Golden Oldies Festival" last year. They had tons of neat cars in all sizes from the turn of the century to the 1970s. I love especially the small ones like the Goggomobil, or the Isetta...- wahine
