What Would You Change (about yourself) for Your Vintage Wear?
I'm a modern US 6, but I'm 5'9" and still find at lot of things that fit! Alot of the 30's dress are long even on me, but I do find that most of the 40's pants are to short!!:rolleyes: :cry: (Also I think the 30's dresses look alot more elegant if you are taller, just by the way the dresses...- maisie

When I first started out collecting vintage clothes, I wished i had smaller feet too! As most of the shoes that are original from the UK are about US size 5 or 6! It funny beacuase I'm actually about a size US 9 (9AAAA in vintage sizes), so my feet are far from small!:rolleyes: :) But both of the black pairs were advertised on ebay as size 7's!! If they really were that size I would be able to even go near them!!! But I do love the 40's shoes as they do...- maisie

I recieved a package today, with all of my 40's stuff that I had bought but had to have it sent to a friend, as they wouldn't post to the UK! Well I can tell you I'm so pleased with it all! That pattern is lovely, I've been looking at all the fab patterns on ebay and there are some lovely ones!!!:) I particulary want to get a trouser suit made up, as I'm 5'9" it is extremly hard to try and find an original pair of trousers that will fit!!(Although I did get a fab blue trouser...- maisie

"1940's Hairstyles" The book will break the bank
I bought that book a couple of years ago, back when it was still in print! But now they are going for stupid prices, I mean $800 for a book! Even though I have it I have never even used it! Seeing as the only ways of doing the hairdstyles in that book is by using pincurls, which I'm unable to... -

Unfortunaly I had to take the buttons off the shoulders because they had gone darker than dress (a common problem with light coloured dresses with fabric button:cry: ) But it still looks fantastic without! I'm just so pleased it actually fits!! I will see if I can get some picture of me wearing...- maisie

It is so fab, I was taking a risk with the measurements, but it came and fits like a dream, which is somethimes hard to find with 30s dresses as the hips are so small!! And it FAR nicer in person as you can't...- maisie

Thanks for all the great comments!! You all look great as well! I didn't use pin curls for my hair (my hair is way too think to even think about trying, it would probably take all day!!) So I use the rollers you sleep in, and the curl lasts for about 2-3 days, depending on how curly you like... -
