Thanks for the tip; I was hoping to go out for a hot time on the ole' town with my cousin and mum, but methinks, ahem, not that hot!
This is a definite!
Hello everyone, I'm planning on visiting Mississippi, around Jackson, in the near future and was wondering if Loungers would happen to know of any good places to go dancing. I'm looking for mainly Ballroom/Latin, but other things like Lindy or Swing would be fun too. I would love to try some...
I'm intending to buy some more Aris Allens for street wear, and just get them re-soled/heeled if need be. I have a pair of the '30's Oxfords and also some Bleyer wedges meant for dance that I use as walking 'round shoes. The Bleyer is the shoe that I wear the most in warmer weather. Sooooo comfy.
Good golly, Miss Molly, oh, but the brown ones, oh but the blue ones, uh-oh, both okay for wide feet...I'm in love!
I had my heart set for ordering the 40's spectators but I may have to open my wallet just that tiny bit further...!
I've been using Rimmel Soft Cream Blush in Cocoa Kiss, and the same pot has lasted me umpteen years. I used to put it just underneath the cheekbones but have found it suits me much more to use it on the apples of my cheeks. Always applied after foundation and loose powder, and with fingers...
Just wanted to let anyone else who may have been admiring this know that there is a 1930's Jantzen polo sweater exactly like this on Etsy at the moment. (If only it were in my size...)
I normally can't find much more to watch these days than re-runs of Quantum Leap or Hill Street Blues. I can't bear reality shows in any way shape or form, which accounts for probably 90% of the programming. Anyhow, I by accident caught The Walking Dead about halfway through and was really...
I don't think (apologies if yes) anyone has mentioned the infamous Harrods dress code about which there was if I recall correctly a furore a few years back. If you actually look at it, it is pretty below bog standard. In other words, not "suit and tie", not even "no jeans" as I had heard...
Oh, yes, it certainly does appeal! I used to drool over one very similar Stop Staring dress (in blue, with white kick pleats and collar), but the sad fact is that anything that fitted on my bottom half would be, to put it mildly, not very flattering (All that meat and no potatoes!). I do love...
Wow! Thanks for reviving this thread, because thought it was just me becoming a little (more) pixillated. Over the past couple of months I've been having almost cravings (bizarre, I know) for things in a certain colour which I've been describing as brick red, and I'll be damned if I've been...
When I was 13 or so (and with the biggest crush on Tom Baker...) I would have killed to have that scarf! I'm still pretty jealous (and Tom's still the best Doctor for my ducats)!
It's such a fine line between "homage" and "total bloody rip-off", isn't it? Hmm...I went off of Tarantino just after Reservoir Dogs; he strikes me as a one-trick pony.
Shame you guys aren't over here in the UK - just flicking through the listings and no joke, Beyond the Valley of the...
Shelley Winters thighs is the variation I've always known. Where the Sam Hill it came from I don't know. Come to think of it, where the Sam Hill did Sam Hill come from?
Golden era for exploitation, sir. Small budgets, big ideas. Guerrilla film-making. Low-brow entertainment. Most everything has been by the book since.
I'd probably sit through Valley Girl or 8mm...
At the risk of digging the hole deeper, I did read his biography, and he did strike me as...
It's probably because I've seen so much of his "oeuvre" (ha ha) I'm used to what passes for logic in a Meyer film. I'm not a "big girls" fan by any means, but Erica Gavin is one of those actresses I find fascinating to watch. Which brings up another tiny point - despite what one may think of...
