Who says kids have no ambition?

Since this thread has come to this part of the road... Come on, it's pointless to try to explain something to someone who only sees money and not the people who make the products or just sees land and not the little field mice that live there, that supply food for the owls that only exist on...

Who says kids have no ambition?

Walmart is actually very dangerous to small business in America, and will be around the world. As to the thread, I think it started as such a young person having so much hate. It doesn't matter who the hate is directed at... It's still hate.

SOMEBODY tell me that I did good !!!

as to the hat purchase on Ebay... it is neither a cowboy hat or a stetson. But that's about the top price I'd pay. Even with the size. You didn't over-pay, but you went to the higher end I'd say.

WWII Photos (and Stories) of Our Loved Ones

My grandfather served 2 years in the Aleutians. He never talked about it either. Except it was cold, and didn't see a woman for 2 years. They did have fresh eggs as they brought in a chicken or two. He then served another 2 years driving a motorcycle through german lines delivering documents.

    Good Night and Good Luck

I haven't seen it either, but probably will. Being not around during those times, what true evil was the left doing? Who was the "left" during the 50's? Who was the "Right?" and how did the filmmakers use propaganda to do it? How exciting that hollywood is back to making propaganda...

How much stuff did these 40's guys own?

here's a thought on this thread... Most houses built before the 1920's did not have closets in the bedrooms. They had one small "coat" closet by the front door.

    A disturbing trend

So every guy who makes a pass at a woman who's with another man is a redneck and therefore a member of the KKK? Wow, they sure have a lot more members than I thought they did. And world wide too! Andy Griffith from Mayberry is a Television character. David Duke is a real person and...

    A disturbing trend

All redneck are not in the KKK. I realize you're trying to be funny, but it's not. The klan is a political group, not a social stereotype label.

I believe the "X" on any jug refers to gallon. so 3 X's would be a 3 gallon jug.

all three of those terms are not, well "good" labels. I don't think I'd want to be classified as any of them.

    A disturbing trend

Let's use the right labels, since were using labels. There is difference between Red-necks, good-ol' boys, white trash, and the like. I use these labels since they seem to be what everyone is focusing on in this thread. Having grown up in the Ozark mountains among other places... there...

    sleeping in a hat?

I wear a wool cap if it's really cold. Growning up I did all the time in the winter as we didn't have heat in the bedrooms. Makes a huge difference.

Somebody 'splain this one to me...

well looking at the auction, the hat really sold for 40.00, but the seller looks like he started a new "bidder" to bid up his own hat. Then some crazy english guy thinks the hat is worth a bundle at the end and buys it. If you look, the same guy (ho just started his ebay account) is bidding...
