    What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

    I saw Married Life last night. Enjoyable but not as good as I'd hoped it would be. I think it should have been either darker or funnier. The acting was strong (I especially liked Chris Cooper) and it had great clothes, cars and decor. I'm glad I saw it in a theater.

    Silent Movies in Boston

    The Coolidge Corner Theater in Brookline will be showing silent films with live musical accompaniment. May 26 at 7:00 - THE GENERAL June 2 at 7:00 - THE FLESH AND THE DEVIL I'm particularly excited to see the second one on the big screen.

    I adore the fabric, it's so sharp! I've seen several booklets from the 40's on how to make a ladies suit from a man's suit so perhaps that's what happened here? I defer to Vintage Betty though, she's our resident expert.

    Dita Von Teese

    I'm happy to see pictures of Dita if they turn up (she does have a fabulous wardrobe) but I don't follow her exploits. Her interviews tend to be rather amusing. I chuckled when Dita said she isn't really a tight lacer--after all, her waist is 18" That's Scarlett O'Hara territory!
