I finally have gotten the early 30s bob I have always threatened to get. Its still longish on top so I can continue to do waves if I want. I had a bob 20 years a go but not with a vintage edge like this
The clothing is also drastically different.
Dresses in the 20s were not fitted like 30s gowns. They were boyish and straight, sometimes with emphasis at the hip. But breasts were flattened and the female body shape was not emphasised at all. Skirts rose to under the knee which had been...
I have George Hurrell's 'Hurrells Hollywood Portaits' book. He was the greatest Hollywood still photographer ever...be he was also a massive retoucher of prints because he hated studio makeup so he spent hours in the darkroom retouching the pics. Photoshopping in it's earliest form ;) Nothing is...

I made this lovely 1930s butterfly sleeve shirt months ago. It's a lovely green satin crepe which really doesn't show the true colour here. It's so very elegant and flattering with wide black pants or a long skirt. I will take pic of me wearing it sometime.

Blazing Saddles - was on TV. Still cracks me up in parts. Would be called so very un-PC these days...Mel Brooks always took things to the edge....hehe.
Someone I recently was close to wears Royall Mandarin by Royall Fragrances. I really like it as it is very subtle yet manly. He sprayed it on my clothes before I left after my holiday. My jacket still smells of it and reminds me of him.
