Baseler Herzen. Heart-shaped Swiss-German Christmas cookies that my kids like to hang on the tree and eat when they're hungry. Can do the same with Zimtsterne (cinnamon stars). Like to make Rotweinkuchen (red wine cake) too, I think I posted the recipe for this already.
You are seriously making me jealous! lol
My friend's dad used to fly DC-3s and a long list of other planes, he was a Navy pilot. Her mom was a civilian CFI but she's afraid of all the math in ground school so she won't even try
yes, good luck Pompidou!
I have to buy my gifts for my kids to give me too but that's ok. Hopefully when your kids are adults they'll have enough sense to do the shopping for you. It may take them a few years though

lol if I don't die laughing first! See there is a point to it, to keep you entertained :D
No I don't think I'd consider walking through a mine field good fun. As for the military, they can choose what they do, be it pilot, sniper, medic, desk jockey, whatever, it's up to them. They don't...
Quite possibly, but does that apply to all skydivers? I would rather not call all the troops willing to jump out of planes to protect country and freedom "insane." That of course doesn't apply to me, being too much of a wuss and now too old to join the military myself.
Let's think about...
Rudie, thank you so much, you have a ton of experience and you're still concerned with safety. Much appreciated!
Tomasso and Scottyrocks, yes I've always been more interested in just flying the plane. I do know that new people have to go tandem with an experienced skydiver so one would assume...
