That's brown.
If going with cordovan, cherry or black I would get a black mouton collar. I really do not think that a brown collar would suit a black leather jacket.
I have a HWM with a rust color mouton collar. It's been a lifesaver and my go-to jacket all winter. I would find it difficult to have a jacket without a mouton collar now... reason being I tend to wear my A2 in warmer weather and the HWM in colder weather.
It is very cozy with the collar...
Have you tried unfiltered Pall Malls? (Pronounced "pell mell" if you want to have a vintage-correct pronunciation!) That's the brand Robert Mitchum smoked. They sell them in New York and elsewhere I'm sure.
FOR YOU GUYS - WHOM I KNOW ARE INTERESTED IN VINTAGE HAIRCUTS:

We've got a lot going on over on our facebook page for the Waldorf barbershop. Hit the "become a fan" button and leave a post saying you're from the Lounge, I'd love to say "hi".
:)
This was an iconic Irish film, set in Dublin. The music was pure soul, with a Dublin twist ;):

:offtopic: YES! You are 100% correct. I had the privilege of cutting open the original packaging. Are you a fan of this maker? Have you got a good link to research further.
Hilarious, and so well made:

^^^ Thanks! It's great to be able to get some motorcycle time for the Highwayman. After seeing some of the above bikes I think I am really getting the itch.
A classmate of mine was looking into getting a 50s Matchless. I can't wait to see it if he gets it. He'd be buying it from England.
^^^ that is a very impressive collection. Especially the '41. And I love the early black and white photo, really well done. It's great to have a portrait like that.

Fantastic.

I prefer a hand crease afterwards anyway so having a round block is perfect. Did you clean the felt in any way when you wet it thoroughly?
Thanks so much Matt! Great to hear the feedback. The fact that it's a "local" purchase and fabrication makes it all the better. I have been really enjoying wearing it - and the floppiness of it - just right.
Ernest - thanks for the kind words. :eusa_clap
Here is my latest, I picked it up last week. It's Donegal tweed, woven in Ireland and assembled here.
There's even a little "note" on the inside from the weaver who says the weaving was done by a family in a small cottage in Donegal, Ireland.
