I iron mine... do you iron yours?

Who makes the best repro gab shirts ?

Got your PM Daddy-O, but I'll post here too. I like the Cad Zoots okay. The gab is nice and the collar is pretty good for a '40s style. As for the fit, I really wish the shirt was more fitted. The body and the arms are really puffy. The neck fits and the sleeves fit fine. Maybe a...

    J. Peterman Spanish-Style Linen Jacket

Absolutely lovely shoes. I like the shade of brown. $595 might be a little rich my my blood, though.

    What is your passion?

If you want a vague answer, it's passion for knowledge & success. I don't mean financial success, I mean a certain focus on meeting goals. More spicifiacally, I am passionate about music, attacking soccer, and food. I do not eat to live...but, the other way around.

    Hollywood Jackets

I'm taking a chance on this one... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8393138973&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 The chance that I'm taking is that it fits. I sometimes run into troubles even when the actual measurements tell me it should fit. I have a fear the...

    Informal tie-clip poll

I always wear a tie clip. I have about 6 or 7 to choose from right now, some silver and some are gold. I generally pair them with my tie/suit/shoes/belt...gold tie clips with browns, silver tie clip with blacks & blues. The rule doesn't always hold for me...right now I am wearing a brown...

    White and gum-soled.

I spent about 5 years at one point wearing the same pair of AE captoes about 5-6 days a week. My only care included using shoes trees and polishing them once a week. I have had them resoled a couple of times, but the uppers are still near perfect with the exception of a small scuff on the...

    Show us your TIES

Tropicals/palm tree ties are the Holy Grail as far as I'm concerned. It may have something to do with living in frequently-frigid Milwaukee. In my avatar I was wearing a '40s palm with a '40s "Hawaii" tie clip.

I have the same tie with a letter "E" instead. I'd like an "M" to match my last name initial.

    Show us your TIES

I'm with you, brother. I've seen all the so-called repros, but none of them pass. It's either the color, the pattern, the fabric, the shape, or the length...or all of the above. I can't say that I can easily find a nice one for $3, but it does happen. I once had a guy comment on my tie I was...

    Top Flops.

From what I remember, Orson Welles' The lady From Shanghai bombed. It had something to do with Rita Heyworth's hair...short & blonde in this film. Great movie, and I've got no problem with Rita as a blonde.

Steve McQueen "Cooler King" sweatshirt look in The Great Escape

I picked up a couple last night at Old Navy. Pretty lightweight & marginal quality, but they had them for $12 here. I'd love to have a nicer one, but this certainly does the job for my seatshirt needs.
