The love of my life, with whom I plan to totter through eternity, describes me as a "stick-waving old curmudgeon" - is being slightly cranky better than being too detachedly ironic? Or am I just looking for an excuse? lol
I came in here to recommend things but what I would have said has long since been recommended by slicker ladies (and some great guys) so I will just echo the best wishes for a quick as heck recovery.
Also to say I strongly second remembering your eyebrows. A strong or well-defined eyebrow...
Really short hair and really light dresses are so quintessentially '20s and they pair well together. Spaghetti strap slips under little translucent dresses - SO summer. With a little cloche hat!
And a beaded purse that weighs 20 lbs. even though its tiny. lol
I want a tattoo of flowers and/or leaves but I am still debating color/style so I am still at the very preliminary planning stage. I am naturally a waffly sort of person and I want it to be something I love forever.
Yeah I think town turns into neighborhood turns into block. Some of the hardest neighborhoods in Philadelphia still have these tight little communities, you hear about "block captain" so-and-so who doesn't have any more money than anybody else on the block but makes sure the eighty year old on...
I see vintage equaling rural so often in these threads and this city girl doesn't get it. Is the only true vintage town Mayberry?
I'm a fifth generation Philadelphian, G-d bless us every one. I know kids got less supervision and could ride their bikes everywhere, yeah. (I did too, in the...
So what is the vintage ladylike response when you've innocently smiled at someone, or not even that, and they (men, or boys) think you're entirely too friendly? I think you have to be older before you can get away with clubbing them with your purse, but good manners can be very misinterpreted...
I remember Planned Parenthood references in the original Cheaper By the Dozen book of the twenties? It was a thing in some places before others, I think.
I cleaned my PM box some - sorry about that!
Today I had chicken breast deli slices on ezekial bread for breakfast and a grapefruit for lunch and rice and fish (salmon and perch) for dinner.
Also 200 calories of candy and 32 oz. of coffee and 32 of tea.
I wasn't anemic a few months...
I'm five foot even and my weight goes from about 128 to 130 lbs. My BMI is 24.5 or 25 I believe. I'm not supposed to be more than a max of 127 because I'm so short. I've not had my actual bodyfat levels tested.
The wheat thing is interesting. The blood sugar thing - I'll have to look at that...
I don't do the energy drinks very often (less than once every week) but I do drink about a litre of coffee a day and sometimes some tea as well.
I try to eat 1k-1600 calories every day. I eat a lot of chicken and eggwhites and some fish. I like chocolate very much but buy the tiny individual...
I'm upper-middle and stridently low. Nothing highbrow, nothing low-middle. Must be my low class roots with aspirations of grandeur - what is the climbing vine of choice for each level? (obviously, some sort of tree-parasite orchid down to kudzu). lol
I have gotten steadily leaner and smaller sizes, but now I get dizzy spells far more often and muscle shakes. Like, just a soft fast trembling, especially in my legs.
Energy is sorta generally low, but Rockstar gave me a nice set of palpitations so I'm saving it for special occasions. :)...
