    Thanks Fleur - those are spot on! Only available in size 3.5, 7.5 and 8 though. But I'm hoping they'll do another model for this winter coming. And I'll keep searching ebay too. I missed out on a pair for about £8 last year.

    Winter footwear I've been trying to find a pair of this style boot or similar for the winter for the last few years: A lot of eldery women wear them in this country - my grandmother used to - but I cannot find out where to get them new. Secondhand pairs come up on Ebay every now and then...

    You'll find that a lot of the women here don't wash their hair that often - I do mine every 4 or 5 days. Previous generations only washed it once a week so I can only assume that every day washing was a marketing strategy invented by the shampoo companies to increase revenue!

    The other trick is to whip out your own camera and start taking pictures of them.Follow them around for a few minutes and look at them as if they are a scientific specimen!
