I personally believe that Lucille Ball was quite underated. It is so easy to think of her as only quirky, "Lucy Ricardo"..and to forget she was actually very beautiful..
who knows what would have happened to her career-wise without that and the new hair color, but there's just something about her natural dark, exotic beauty that i love.
maybe I'll try the pincurls today..i need to do something. I was determined to grow out my last pixie cut ( in my neverending cycle of growing it out and promptly cutting it all off) and at the beginning of the summer my hair was starting to look a little bowlshaped, so i cut my own bangs ( too...
this is adorable. i am about to become a Grandma for the first time..i was secretly hoping for a girl so i would have an excuse to sew little dresses and practice my embroidery and pintucking skills, but looks like we will be welcoming a boy :) So, I'm not sure what i will be able to subject the...
I was just reading yesterday about the electrolysis sessions Rita Hayworth endured to raise her hairline, which apparently served to make her appear more "white"

it is hard to imagine anyone who looked like this being advised to change a...
I can't really pick one. How i behave entirely depends on what I've been drinking:
1.) Wine- Wine is good. I am always happy with a glass of wine. or 2. or 3. or the bottle. probably after I the finish the bottle, i will fall asleep.
2.) Beer- Hardly counts. I never get drunk on beer. 2...
mmm. Yum..i make Limoncello every summer, and cranberry cordial in the winter. I tried out my Limoncello on an italian friend of mine who bascically stopped buying the commercial stuff. The cranberry cordial is ok,, but the Limoncello is Sunshine in a glass.. i love it!
LOL..at the risk of sounding like my grandmother..( I remember when winters were sooo bad..)
I will agree that our winters are pretty brutal.. I am in Nova Scotia now, and that's bad enough, but actually grew up in newfoundland on a tiny island, way out in the North Atlantic, 15 miles out...
I currently have a job with NO public interaction. It is very easy to go in having taken a minimal amount of effort, and believe me plenty of my co-workers do, and I'd be lying if i said I've never been guilty of it myself on occasion. But i'm never happy on those days. It might get me out the...
MMM..St. Hubert Poutine Sauce..for a while there we were making poutine nearly every weekend ..you can pick up poutine sauce and cheese curds in any supermarket..which is a blessing or a curse depending on how you look at it...some places are now also coming up with variations of poutine, such...
Actually, just noticed yours VintageTink..that's pretty amazing for such short hair! Mine is actually chin length right now..but I think it's time to chop it off :)
Wow!! I have read back about 15 pages and that's all i can manage tonight! phew..there are so many beautiful hair-dos..but where are all the short-haired ladies?? I need some inspiration!
You're so right..vinegar is always available, and if they happen to have malt vinegar, all the better. And poutine is fabulous..how can you go wrong with fries, cheese & gravy?? Sometimes i even put vinegar on top of all that :)
I ALWAYS have ketchup on my eggs. Drives my husband crazy, he says it makes him sick just to smell ketchup and eggs together..
I also always have ketchup on my hot dogs..which he also finds revolting..claims it's Un-American..(?)
which doesn't concern me.. as he is American whereas I , am...
