I got number 2 - can't wait either!
Thanks
Trish
Hi
I was wondering/ hoping.. does anyone have a spare empty jar of Boots origional coldcream that they could part with. i can't find it anywhere and the jar is so darn cute. I am willing to part with cash...
Thanks
Trish
From what i've heard- natural 1 had yellow tones where as natural 2 has pink undertones. I got Lloreal true match in Neutral as that's what Dita VT uses but it turned out to be really yellow on me- okay for Dita as she has yellow undertones which is why she suits brown-red lippies and auburn...
My Mum use to use chlorine bleach to get the dye stains off my skin- yes really!- and once she rubbed so hard she wore a hole in my skin and i had a big old nasty scab on the side of my face.
I have really fine fluff on my forehaed and once I wasn't careful enough and it got dyed so i had to...
Me too- though I used my Dad's razor- he wasn't happy about it. I hate body hair, especially the 'lady garden' (I love that phrase)- always have from the earliest age- for me it's got to be a 'hollywood'. I have an epilator - I love it, I don't find it painful at all (apart from the...
I've has seperate face ones as I've got very tiny pores that get blocked easily. I usually would'nt put a body cream on my face as I would be afraid that it would be too greasy- but I've found that the higher the SPF the more zinc oxide and the less greasy the cream- it's also pretty white...
Bicarbonate of soda is used in cooking, baking especially I think- you can also use it in household cleaning and for a few home made remedies. It's a useful standby to keep in the home.
You will find tubs of it in the baking isle in the supermarket. It's quite inexpensive.
ohhhh- that one. I got the Boots tradtional one in the cream tub.
Yes- the origional formula range has now been discountinued. There are bits and peices of the range on sale at my local boots- but again most products are fragranced with geranium- which to me, not to be inpolite, reminds me...
I'm also lucky that my SO is a retrophile- infact he was more so than me when we met and has only encouraged my tastes.
My home was ultra sleek & modern since my last SO- and slowly it's becoming more lovely and retro- especially since my new beau moved in and bought all his 'old stuff' (his...
The AHA products I used for year shave left me photosensitive so I have to wear a high SPF now (50- I use uvistatt) or risk developing more brown patches on my face.
I bought some Boots origional the other day to compare it to ponds. I didn't realise it was scented with 'rose geranium'. I don't think geranium actually smells like rose and I don't like it (geranium that is, not rose)- so I'm just using it up for now- then it's back to ponds.

Vanishing cream is an oil control/ mattifying moisturiser- it 'vanishes' into the skin. I use Ponds vanishing cream and it's wonderful. I think it's discontinued now so i get it off ebay.
I have a typical 1930's semi, it's not huge but it's not tiny either. I lived on my own for long while and I'm a total minimalist but I still didn't seem to have enough space! I had my box room converted into a dressing room with a doorway made into the bedroom. It has chests and hanging rails...
I am hoping someone can recomend a fragrance for me to try- i'f like to find a signature scent. I use Cyrstal Noir at the moment- but Id like somethign a bit more sophisticated. I'd liek an oriental/ floral-oriental fragramce- I've tried Mitsouko (hated- think it's the tobacco), Shalimar, Poison...
There sems to be a fad of usign milk of magnesia as a mattifier and a massque- the reviews on make-up alley are good- but then there are lots of updates to say that after a few weeks they have painful spots! I used to use kaolin clay mixed with water and it was fanastic- I', torn between this...
Hi All
I've been using Ponds cold cream at night to remove makeup. I always remove it with cotton pads and follow with witchhazel. I don't find it too greasy and I have oily skin. I tried it once before with a washcloth and it was really nasty. I thought back to when my skin was th best...

The pure distilled witchhazel in boots is usually kept in the first aid section, the stuff in the skincare section always has added stuff in it. I'd try the first aid section next time, by the plasters and things and hopefully you might find some without alcahol.

Stubble-rash can be quite common :) . I'd suggest an emolliant cream applied to the dry areas- such as vaseline or E45 cream and leave on quite thick for good while e.g. over night or of an evening when you are not going out. That should ease it. The next thing I'd do is use a...
