Yes, it was a great time. The New Yorker Loungers are an exceptionally welcoming gang. And the digs ain't bad neither!
Here's your truly in Dan's lobby last summer (wow - time flies, a year already??!!)
Your pictures are beautiful. I love the aesthetic of this one. Really looks to be an authentic old photograph. For me, it brought to mind the girl on the beach in "Barton Fink." If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend it.
I have an Akubra Bobby on order so I will be looking forward to contributing to this thread when it arives. I'm seeing about getting it open crown to work on the crease myself.
'meantime here's a 50s vintage Stetson "Genuine Handwoven FORMOSAN" I picked up for my son:
Thanks Alden.
Notice how the only guy who's hatless is a kid wearing a pretty cool grizzly?
lol When I wrote "Grizzly" the French film noir "Touchez Pas au Grisbi" came to mind: sounds similar.
Got an order in with Hatdirect for a gray Campdraft but they are saying that the Bobby is special order and would take 60 - 90 days.
I've been in touch with Everything Australian and he's checking if Akubra have the Bobby in stock in a 62.
:)
I've just spoken with Everything Australian and they are definitely out of the Bluegrass Campdraft in a 62.
I've place an order for the gray Campdraft from Hatsdirect based on seeing James' pictures above! Looks amazing!

This is great!!! My barbershop asked me to track these down (vintage radio ads) so we could play them in the shop interspersed with Big Band swing.
Say, does anyone know how to save these files to a memory stick?
