I am really liking the new Maybelline shades Very Cherry and Red Revival. They come in pretty red tubes too!
Edited to say: A liner is a must with these, as they do bleed.
I used to used the red Feria all the time and loved it. I don't remember having a fade issue. I love the dimension Feria has. I stick with Loreal colors as much as possible. I occasionally use Garnier or Clairol's root touch up. The worst I have used , as in, didn't even look like I colored my...

I have no serger either and I don't want one. Vintage garments either have zig zag as LD mentioned, pinked edges or french seams. I hand sew my hems also. They look soooo much better!
If the seller measured wrong, I would at least contact them and let them know. Maybe they will let you return it due to their inaccuracy. It wouldn't hurt to try.
I'm 36 and my Mom is 60. We pretty much like the same things. We have both loved all things vintage all our lives so there are no complaints from her. She doesn't dress vintage herself, but does buy vintage bags.
