Found this thread and liked yours very much Harv, so thought I'd post this Wormser Regency Series.
5" crown as cattleman creased and 3" brim, too white to be silverbelly I think; 7 1/4" LO- never worn. When I bought it I thought I might try to convert it to a fedora, but very hard/stiff felt so...
Recently posted this Resistol "Beaver Supreme" on the Resistol Roundup, but this thread seems to warrant it being included here and shown again .

Chris.
Thanks to you too for your approval TommyK. When I fished it, the guy hadn't even listed it as a Borsolino and I was the only bid! Need a keen eye, but learning from you guys......
Chris.
Application for admission to the Brotherhood please guys.
Yes, I know this one is modern, but still quite a nice hat.
This one is older, with stitched in liner, so perhaps before the transition? Grateful for any ideas on age. Great colour - grey/blue/brown so very versatile and matches just...
Rick, by coincidence I have just noticed a book on eBay in case you are not aware....
Bottom of the Ninth An Oral History on the Life of Harry "The Hat" Walker by Larry Powell.
5 available from eshopic (New Jersey)
Thanks gt - I'm surprised that with the large numbers of hats that were produced in the USA during the golden ages, so few seem to turn up and that so little is known about some of the makers. Fascinating to learn more from the Lounge though.
Chris
Glad you bumped this thread gtdean48 - I hadn't realised there was a Pilgrim thread. Yours and Rick's are great finds. My Pilgrim is a much more worn OR style but missing a bound edge. Looking back through the thread I see that all seem to have a bound edge, so I wonder if mine has been cut off...
My experience is much the same as yours Stratcat. If I dress (I would call it casually) in trousers and a sports jacket or blazer (but hatless) I am often complimented on how smart I look, (particularly on hospital attendances????). Seems to me to be less a comment on my sartorial efforts but...
You have such beautiful hats Daniele and you seem spoilt for choice there in Italia - or is it just that you are so gifted at sniffing them out? It's pretty hopeless here in England trying to find much of merit.
Please sniff me out a vintage Barbisio in 57 or 58 (wide brim)!!!
Can you date...
Thank you! triple-d. I think so much so, that one day I ought to repatriate it back to its home in Texas, or at least to the USA - when I can fine out more........
Chris.
Love (for hats) knows no season, no rhyme nor no reason.
Many thanks to TommyK; rclark;1mach1 and RJR for your enthusiastic observations. New to the lounge, but is it ok to use christian names where given, or would that be too presumptious on my part?
Thanks also to you gtdean48 for your help. I did write to Resistol at 601 Marion Dr. but with no...
