I think back east it was something speacial as Coors was hard to get, you needed connections of some sort. Out west it was just one of many other brands.
Coors was a treat in our house in Indiana as it was not sold east of the Mississippi back then. My Dad had a friend that was a truck driver that did runs to the west coast who brought some back east a couple times a year.
I should mention that we sometimes had Falstaff as well since there was a Falstaff brewery in Fort Wayne. I can't rember if Falstaff was good or bad though.
