Well, these are from when I tried to round off the sharp edges with a grinder/dremel type tool but without achieving a good finish. Prior to that the whole edge was scraping across the width of the belt - this also happened with a sugarcane belt I have but to a much lesser degree as the buckle...
Thanks. Must say though it required a bit of rework; the underside edges too sharp, perhaps you can see the effect on the leather over time before I rounded them off
I have the same jacket in the same size, looks like sex, smells better. My chest is an inch or so bigger than yours but the jacket is very fitted on me, particularly in the shoulders but sleeves are slim too - if you end up having a little more room around the tits it will not matter as overall...
Another belt from 2012, I think the one I posted earlier is actually his younger brother from 2011. The amount of wear time is probably about the same however, give or take; this leather was always waxier and resistant to shiny patina.
Most of it comes from years of wear (this belt is from ~2012), treatments will tend to darken but more uniformly. I use Obenaufs and JE Sedgwick when/if required.
