All your recent racer jackets look and fit great. You must be a happy man. My tastes are more hercules/half-belt HH, but I see I'm going to have rethink. The softness and grain of the goat is a big plus.
You might think about a heavy (strome) tartan lining. There are lots of great color and pattern choices. I got an Aero Hercules (CXL FQHH) a couple of weeks ago with this lining. Living in a northern US state that has severe winters, I was concerned about warmth too. So far I've worn my...
No digital documentation, but in the early '70s my wife and I lived in cabin in the Maine woods. She reminded me that one night was -35 F and that her nostrils froze together.
As a newcomer, I'd like to add my "yes" vote for both the look and the fit. As others have said, this is an everyday coat. To me, an everyday coat always needs room for an extra layer.
Thanks for the kind words about the jacket and my state. You were stationed in one of the most beautiful areas. Most who visit us never get out to see moose or auroras. As you know, you got to give the moose as much room as they see fit. I'm always amazes me how big they are.
Thanks tnjyoung. I finalized my order on 1/2/15 and got an email from Carrie that it had arrived on 2/1. It took a little more than one week for UPS to get it across country. So, I got mine very fast. I think mine was one of the first to arrive from that Thurston allocation. Hope this helps.
Thanks. We got it about 15 years ago for our first greyhound. It was made by Maine Greyhound Placement out of polar fleece. I don't think they make this model any more. He's a link to something similar...
Thanks Sloan. I've read many of your posts and they were very helpful. Especially the ones on your LHB. I'm looking forward to the day that mine folds up like yours.
I like the dog jacket idea. I hope Aero is listening in. They will have a customer. In the meantime, I'll pass you...
Thanks Monitor. I'm feeling good about it too. My dog is a greyhound. Very fast like a Borzoi. He was a racing dog in Florida and did pretty well. This is his 2nd Maine winter so he likes his jacket too.
Thanks for the compliments pawineguy. I read many of your posts and reviews. Learned a lot from them. Breaking in: it will take time, but much easier than I thought after reading some of the posts.
