Wide Brimmed White Vintage Stephen L. Stetson men's fedora felt hat 7 1/4 FS

I just got the notice that one of my eBay acquisitions has just shipped via FedEx. Package weight: 19.6 pounds! I don't think my entire hat collection weighs that much. lol

    Wearing of Hats Indoors

Those of us with no hair should also receive dispensation. lol I've paid silly amounts for a few of my hats, but that's chicken feed compared to a what good toupee would cost, and the hats look better than even the best toupee.

How did you find the lounge?

I turned left at Greenland... No, actually, I was Googling for hat info and stumbled upon it. I wish I'd found it before I bought those two new Stetsons.

Hat racks at restaurants, bars, etc.

What amuses me is when a retro-styled diner, like the "Mel's Diner" in Sherman Oaks where I ate dinner last night, doesn't have any hat racks. They have vintage pictures with people wearing hats all over the place, including one of a Plymouth that looks just like WildRoot's car, but no hat...

Went on holidays and all I got was this plastic wrapped Spitfire!

Thanks! Well, he was British, and I think he had a secret desire to become a pirate. After all, his name was Roger and he could be jolly at times. :)

SOLD Stetson Open Road 7X Clear Beaver 7-1/8

I think I ought to let somebody else have this one, it's a beauty but it just doesn't fit, and rather than stretching it and maybe screwing up a great hat I'd just like to entertain offers on it. Here's the original eBay auction page...

Vintage tie lot Here are a dozen ties from that lot from eBay a while back. I got 24 ties for 24 bucks, and half of them were pretty decent. That still works out to $2 a tie even if I throw the others out, which I have no intention of doing. That's actually only 11, number 12 is in my...

    Wanna Meet a Lounger?

Annd to all the folks who didn't get mentioned, I'd love to partake of the beverage of your choice with all of you. Including the ones who are at this moment muttering "There's that S.O.B. who outbid me for that hat!" lol

    New Borsalino arrival

My Borsalino "Open Road" which was first sold in the U.S. has the same logo as my Borsas first sold in French Indochina and Trieste except that it says "Original House Founded in 1857" rather than "Antica Casa Fondata Nel 1857." I'm guessing it's pretty much a direct translation.
