Watched Moby Dick for the first time in years. I first saw the film when I was young (early 70s) and the image of Gregory Peck lashed to the side of the white whale with his dead hand beckoning the crew left an impression. I am glad to see the movie held up as I've grown older.
Thanks Edward.
Looking at the picture I agree with you. I'd take an existing brown or black belt, punch the holes, and run some leather lace through it.
Great photos! My wife and I were hoping to attend this year but $$ dictated otherwise.
It seems like the event was bigger than 2011. We're planning to attend next year!!
Let me assure everyone this is not the way the forum is going. We all understand how unfortunate situations happen and passions and opinions are inflamed. There comes a time when folks have to let the drama go and not jump on every other thread that reminds them of a contentious issue.
You...
Well said HD. The OP stated in his first post not to crap all over his thread and we've done just that in only three pages of posts. I don't want to see members shy away from posting their jackets due to continuing drama.
A member with a jacket shouldn't suffer due to the continuation of...
Glad to see The Walking Dead is back. They need to finally ditch samurai girl.
Agreed about Top Gear. The American version is awful. I'll only watch Jeremy and company.
With some luck and ratings (or however HBO rates it's programs) we'll get another season or two and Mike White will delve deeper into these characters that make the show go 'round.
Laura Dern is a great choice in the role of Amy. While the character annoys the hell out of me, Laura...
I'm glad to read someone other than my wife and I are watching!
Funny you mention Amy being overbearing and delusional because this almost made me stop watching the show. As you've observed the stories involving Amy's co-workers are gems and have kept me interested. Amy's personality played...
I've thought about that and have tried breaking the ice with comments about my own hobbies but get blank stares from neighbors and co-workers. At least we have message boards for bonding with like-minded people!
Agreed. The deeper I delve in certain hobbies shows just how much more I need to learn!
Oh I know I'm preaching to the choir around here. The Lounge has a lot of talented and interesting members. I also tend to get interested in more hobbies than I have time for!
There are plenty of...
I never use the word match but try to compliment my daily outfits and accessories.
To begin with the brown chukka boots mentioned I'll try and compliment it with earthy tone fabrics and similarly brown-ish/warm toned fedora or better yet a tweed cap!
Nice details but I'm feeling insulted with the prices they're asking!
It's 300 bucks for a polka dot shirt with a cock-eyed pocket and crooked button hole. ;):eusa_doh:
Hobbies need to make a comeback. It's rare to encounter someone who engages in a hobby with their free time.
