I'm not talking about performance, or guns, or anything like that.
What I'm talking about is a plane that makes you drool. A plane that stimulates pure speechlessness.
I, myself, have three:

I myself don't much care for welted edges of either style.
I think this dislike is partially owed to hat manufacturers like Dorfman Pacific. They obviously have a liking for the welts, so, now, whenever I see a welted edge I think, "cheap hat".
I know that this is not the case, but...
I can only assume that Aviators would fit in with this category? I have a modern pair that I like, that could probably pass for vintage.
They look like this...
That would explain things. I was getting a bit concerned. I'm glad to hear your doing well, anyhow.

So, what are we looking at here? What kind of sun-eyewear did people wear in the 30's and 40's?
Do your...
Ah
Thanks for the help, both of you.
Indeed, this seems like a development; an overwelt without stitching, in essence. I can see why they are so highly thought of - that's quite a feat! It seems like it would be difficult to do.
Okay, thanks for the clarification, Tony - Cackle-

I consider myself a hat junky, yes, but somehow I have never known what a cavanagh edge brim is.
Pathetic, no?
Could someone enlighten me to this and spare me any more humiliation?
