What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Knocking it out of the park again Steve - an absolute beauty you have right there. Out of interest, how often do you come across earlier hats sans-liner?

A lovely charcoal grey Mayser (wegner colonel woops) Homburg. I suspect late 50s - great condition and finishing.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

That is a very fine lords hat - I love the thin ribbon on it, gives it a very sporty look! Looks great on you.

Sorry for the absence - the suit arrived a while back, but I've been taking my time getting the sleeves let down. Will post detailed pictures as soon as possible. On another note, a very hard to resist offer came up - a zippered 3/4 belt sport coat. The fabric reminds me of the belt back Rudie...

Of course it's incroyable! Didn't even bother to read the sweat, so excited about the hat I was! Unfortunately the reorder label was ripped out at some point, but heres a remnants and details of the sweat. I love the punched hole detailing, almost brouging like.

Weather finally good enough to wear this Huckel that arrived a month or so back. Sportier look with a narrow ribbon - I assume it's pre-war, but wasn't able to find out much on 'Jaccroyable' (assume its the make). Tagged 58, but manages to fit with a bit of padding/spacers.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Over the weekend - English lid - Dulcis. Not in the best state - light moth tracking but all part of the charm in my eyes. Possibly pre-war but always hard to pinpoint accurately.

Thanks Deadlyhandsome, I do like the chunkier overwelt velours (as you'd know ;)). Another hat on its way, 30s ish French straw. On a European roll lately.

Exceptional hat Matt! And thanks for all the wonderful photos - the finish on the velour looks unbelievable. I also love the design of the liner. Can't wait to see what insight Steve can offer.

Wow! Great suit Matt - certainly looks similar in cut and fabric, even down to the waistband lining. Would be cool if it was made by the same tailor.

I have been looking for a grey SB peaked lapel 3 piece for years, so when this was offered to me, I had to snap it up. Will post wear pictures once it arrives - I love the liner - particularly the waistband construction.

Absolutely stunning hat! Looks to be in exquisite condition as well - wouldn't look out of place fresh on the factory floor! I'm glad someone picked up that G.A. Dunn velour on etsy - was killing me seeing it sit there so long unloved.

Thanks Fastuni. The lapels was what drew me to it - I'm not sure if it is usual (certainly the first time I've noticed it), but I can feel stays in the construction of the lapels to help keep its shape! I've checked with trouser seams and there are no seam allowance to indicate they have been...

Latest arrival - the one with the internal elastic band I shared earier, a very simple 4x2. Looks late 40s, early 50s to my eye. I'd say it's not particularly high quality, still a very serviceable addition to the collection.
