Interesting story. Releasing a virus may not have been the smartest thing to do. Messing with Mother Nature often leads to unintended consequences. I love my Akubras! Re-shaping the brim on a Snowy River
I've changed the brim shape on all 10 of my hats (9 Akubras of varying thicknesses, 1 Stetson western). I picked up these tips right here at the Lounge. Akubra Adventurer advice.
Paladin111, I hope you like yours. As someone suggested above, I did change the ribbon on mine (to a darker color)and blocked it into a nice "Raiders"-style Indy fedora. It's fun to wear! But you should shape our open-crown into whatever suits you.- H Weinstein

I like it, Crazy Dave! And good for you for tackling the shape-change on your own. If there's anything I learned from the gang here, it's that decent-quality fur-felt hats are pretty durable, and it's hard to wreck one beyond redemption if you're reasonably careful in your re-blocking...- H Weinstein

I'm with the others. Best bet is to order your normal size. I wear a 58 and ordered a 58 DM Adventurer, which fit very well. No Love For Black Hats
Love for black western hats here... I guess with western hats, it's easier to give a black hat some extra punch, since you have a little more leeway with decorative hatbands.
